Saturday 16 October 2021 was given over to competitions and to the Czech Pro-Am Latin Championships. The gala evening featured not only the Pro-Am finals but also show couples and SUT competitions. Hosted by Jaroslav Kuneš and Jan Kroupa; competition director Eva Bartuňková; broadcast technicians and competition coordination by Petr Bartuněk and Michal Polák.

Saturday 27 February 2021 was given over to one of our online competitions. What did that mean in practice? The production team – competition director and commentator Eva Bartuňková, with broadcast technicians and competition coordination by Petr Bartuněk and Michal Polák – ran everything from the Maestro dance school. Scrutineer Jakub Schneider and the adjudicators, including those from abroad, judged the competition from home. And the Solo and Duo competitors danced wherever their technical set-up allowed: from home, from a garage, a car showroom, a nursery school and many other places.

At the Czech Latin-American Championships in the Lucerna Palace it was not only sporting trophies that were handed out – there was also one honorary award. Eva Bartuňková, co-owner of the dance school and coach of the TK Maestro couples, was inducted into the ČSTS Hall of Fame for her work on behalf of dance sport both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

On Saturday 8 June 2019 the large hall of the Maestro dance school hosts our traditional summer competition across all Pro-Am categories.

The Maestro Dance School Academy, held under the auspices of the Deputy Mayor of Prague 4, Mgr. Lukáš Zicha, with financial support from the City of Prague.

We invite you to the Academy on 15 December 2017 from 15:00, this time at the Novodvorská Cultural Centre. The programme features dance performances by all age groups, group choreographies, couple dances, synchro dance and demonstrations by the most successful couples of the TK Maestro sports dance club, which co-organises the Academy. The Maestro Dance School Christmas Ball 2017, held under the auspices of the Deputy Mayor of Prague 4, Mgr. Lukáš Zicha.

We invite you to the first Christmas Ball of the Maestro Dance School on 15 December 2017 at the Novodvorská Cultural Centre, running from 20:00 until 1:00. Live music accompanies the evening, and the programme is enlivened by demonstrations from the best couples of the Maestro dance club. The ball is preceded by our traditional Academy, where the children from our preparatory classes and more advanced courses perform.

16:00–18:00 – dance evening for children, with demonstrations by junior competitive couples

Come and dance like the stars! We invite the children and parents of TŠ/TK Maestro to an informal party – our St Nicholas dance evening. The programme and a few surprises are ready; devil-and-St-Nicholas accessories welcome.

19:00–22:00 – dance evening for adults, with a salsa class

Come and dance ballroom, Latin and salsa in the friendly setting of the Maestro Dance School, led by an experienced instructor and host, with professional dancers from TŠ/TK Maestro taking part.

StarDance that isn’t just for celebrities? On 7 October 2017 we invite you to the Czech PRO-AM Championships – competitions for professional-amateur couples.

Besides the national championship, this all-day event also features the international Bohemia Open PRO-AM Championship, with couples from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Serbia and Russia.

The Maestro Dance School invites you to a salsa party.

Our Cuban-style salsa party for all TK Maestro members, TŠ Maestro students and their friends takes place on Friday 31 March 2017 at the TŠ Maestro dance studio (Na Strži 40, Prague 4).

The programme opens with a PRO-AM salsa workshop from 19:00. The workshop runs as a PRO-AM lesson, i.e. with professional partners. Places are limited so that everyone can see the teachers properly and so that we have enough dance partners for you. Immediately after this 90-minute workshop the PRO-AM party begins – bring your friends along so they can find out what it is like to dance with a professional, or simply try out what you have just learned. You will be welcomed with a drink on arrival, and a bar will be open for further drinks. From 22:00 the after-party continues informally.

Workshop admission is CZK 300 (which also covers entry to the PRO-AM party and the after-party); entry to the PRO-AM party alone is CZK 100, and the after-party is by voluntary donation.

Prague Dance Festival for All – Czech PRO-AM Championships 2016

Prague Dance Festival for All – Maestro Cup for All

Competitions for children also take place on 29 October 2016. Alongside events for couples registered with the Czech DanceSport Federation, we run competitions for beginner junior couples and Synchro Dance events.

The Maestro Dance School invites you to a salsa party.

Our Cuban-style salsa party for all TK Maestro members, TŠ Maestro students and their friends takes place on Saturday 7 May 2016 at the TŠ Maestro dance studio (Na Strži 40, Prague 4).

The programme includes a salsa workshop with a guest instructor from 19:00. Immediately after this 90-minute workshop the party begins, so you can try out what you have just learned. You will be welcomed with a drink on arrival, and a bar will be open for further drinks.

Admission is by voluntary donation!

The MAESTRO CUP Pro-Am competition takes place on Saturday 9 January 2016. Events include the combination, solo dances, show dance, teams and – new this year – salsa. Once again there are excellent prizes from Sisley and, for the first time, from Tosca Blu.

On 10 December from 17:00 we have prepared the TŠ Maestro Christmas showcase for you. You will see performances by all the children’s groups, exhibition dances by the best TK Maestro couples, the winning show dance of 2015 and much more. We look forward to seeing you!

On 13 May 2015, from 17:30 to 19:00, we host a seminar for competitive couples and coaches with Holger Nitsche – an outstanding musician, author of books on Latin-American music, world champion, international adjudicator and a remarkable coach.

The seminar costs EUR 35 per person. Private lessons can also be booked: one lesson costs EUR 115 per couple (EUR 100 for seminar participants).

On 19 June we are holding the 2014 Maestro Dance School Academy, where the children, juniors and youth from all our preparatory classes and follow-up courses perform for you. Besides the group performances and competitions, you will see demonstrations by the top competitive couples of the Maestro dance club.

Seminars on Tuesday 5 February 2013

The SCM seminar runs from 16:00 to 17:30 (a limited number of additional couples can join – about five; SCM members attend free as part of their Prague programme, national Latin squad members pay EUR 10 per person, others EUR 30 per person).

An Open seminar outside the SCM programme follows from 18:00 to 19:30 (national squad members EUR 10 per person, others EUR 30 per person).

Paying non-squad members attending both seminars: EUR 50 per person; national squad members EUR 20 per person.

Private lessons

Remaining private lessons can still be booked for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: EUR 100 per couple.

ČSTS national squad camp with Lasse Odegaard and Holger Nitsche

On Monday and Tuesday, 10–11 September 2012, the DanceHall studio hosts the training camp of the ČSTS national squad with Lasse Odegaard and Holger Nitsche. Both halls are completely closed to the public during the day on those dates. Open training, including access to the changing rooms, is available only in the evening, from 20:00 to 22:00.

On Wednesday only one hall will be available for open training, at the discretion of the studio management. Private lessons with Holger Nitsche take place in the other hall.
