Courses for individuals

Latin dance for women, or our unique PRO-AM course in which an amateur dancer is paired with an assigned professional dance partner.

• Ladies Latin

  Latin-American dance courses for women without a dance partner. Classes are taught in "line dancing" style (much like an aerobics class). You will learn the basic figures and variations of the Latin-American dances – not only the steps but also the movement principles, which work both for dancing on your own and, should the occasion arise, with a partner. The course is characterised by dynamic music, enjoyable but physically demanding movement, and the professional approach of instructors drawn from the highest performance classes. Wear sports clothing; footwear is up to you (heels or trainers), although specialised dance shoes are always a considerable advantage.

• PRO-AM Dancing

  Pro-Am is dancing for women and girls with a professional male dancer, or for men with a professional female dancer – an enjoyable and highly effective way to improve your dancing alongside a professional.

Courses for adult couples

"Ballroom Dancing Differently" (a combination of ballroom and Latin dances) and Latin-American dances for couples: our experienced instructors bring the latest dance-sport technique into a teaching method designed for complete beginners and less experienced dancers.

• Ballroom Dancing Differently

  Informal tuition in ballroom and Latin-American dances for couples of any age. The courses suit active couples who appreciate both the social and the sporting side of dance.

Courses for children and young people

Our preparatory classes and the follow-on courses for children and young people cover not only Latin-American and ballroom technique but also athletic preparation, and they form the foundation for competitive dance sport. Courses follow the school year. In summer the school runs dance camps.

• Preparatory classes

  Preparatory classes in Latin-American and ballroom dance for children and young people – girls and boys – aged 4–7 and 8–15, at beginner and advanced level. You can enrol individually, without a partner.

Maestro Dance Club

Seminars, strength work and movement training for the Maestro Dance Club – a member of the Czech DanceSport Federation.

• Latin-American seminars

  Basic and advanced technique of the Latin-American dances, for advanced couples and individual members of the Maestro Dance Club.

  Basic and advanced technique of the ballroom dances, for advanced couples and individual members of the Maestro Dance Club.

• Practice and strength training

  Competitive practice simulates several rounds of a dance competition. Couples dance all five competitive dances of the discipline, one and three-quarter minutes each.

• Sólo Dance

  These lessons focus on a newer competitive discipline that allows girls without a partner to compete. Individual girls dance on their own (Solo), or two girls dance synchronously side by side (Duo).

• Summer dance camps

  Our traditional intensive summer camps with the Maestro Dance Club, run separately for Latin-American and for ballroom dances, for performance classes Hobby to M. Held in Hubálov and in Prague (Maestro-Praha).

  The StarDance experience – dancing with a professional. Spend a whole weekend in the rhythm of Latin-American, ballroom and Caribbean dances. Held in Podbořany and in Prague.
