PRO-AM Dancing

A course for solo female dancers partnered with professional dancers – beginner level. The lead instructor guides you through the technique and figures of ballroom and Latin-American dances; you then dance what you have just learned with your assigned professional partner.

The price includes a share of the fee for the professional dancer, calculated at a ratio of one dancer to three ladies (exceptional changes to this ratio reserved). The teaching system has consistently produced excellent results in building dance skills.

Enrolment and payment

Your registration becomes valid once it has been paid. Unpaid course fees do not guarantee a place – an unpaid registration is moved behind fully paid ones.

Making up missed lessons

Missed lessons can only be made up within the same “trimester” – the period for which courses are announced (autumn, winter, spring) – in any Pro-Am course, without a guaranteed partner. You are welcome to attend and practise on your own. The instructor may assign you a professional partner on the spot depending on the situation, but only if a place remains free beyond the partner capacity of that course. No guarantee is possible even if you ask in advance: in any given course, the officially enrolled participants who attend it always have priority.

Cancellation terms

Before the course starts: 10 % of the fee. During the course: 50 % of the pro-rata remainder, calculated after deducting the average price of the lessons already held up to the moment the cancellation is reported by e-mail to info (zavináč) tsmaestro.cz.

Each 90-minute lesson combines technique and figures (60 min) with a practice block (30 min) in which you dance through everything covered with your professional partner.

(Note: to simplify administration we no longer take separate registrations for the course and the practice – we have returned to the original single-registration system.)

No lessons on 28 October (public holiday) and on 16 November (bridging day before the 17 November public holiday). We do not teach on public holidays or when the dance school has extraordinary commitments.

The eleventh lesson takes the form of a hosted dance party lasting 60 minutes.
