Latin-American dance courses for women without a dance partner. Classes are taught in “line dancing” style (much like an aerobics class). You will learn the basic figures and variations of the Latin-American dances – not only the steps but also the movement principles, which work both for dancing on your own and, should the occasion arise, with a partner. The course is characterised by dynamic music, enjoyable but physically demanding movement, and the professional approach of instructors drawn from the highest performance classes. Wear sports clothing; footwear is up to you (heels or trainers), although specialised dance shoes are always a considerable advantage.
The lower-intermediate courses assume active knowledge of the basic variations of each Latin-American dance. They are intended for women who want to build on those basics with more advanced technique and more demanding variations.
In the advanced courses we place the emphasis on finer movement principles, following the modern trends in the development of Latin-American dance worldwide.
All continuation courses include a bonus lesson with professional partners.
Dances taught: samba, cha-cha, rumba, jive.
