Sólo Dance

The Sólo Dance group is part of the preparation for competition and for representing the TK Maestro dance club. It follows on from the Rising Stars group of the 2025/2026 school year. Training takes place twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday, with the Thursday lesson shared with the Sólo Dance & Sólo Sport group.

Age range: children, juniors and youth.

The lessons cover general movement training and both the basics and the more advanced technique of Latin-American dances as well as other styles – ballroom and Caribbean dances. Competitions in these disciplines link into the ČSTS and SUT competition system in the Hobby categories. New members are admitted by agreement with the head coaches.

Each semester culminates in the Christmas Academy – a showcase performance by all the non-competitive and competitive groups of TŠ/TK Maestro.

TK Maestro membership

Participation in the Sólo Dance group requires membership of the TK Maestro sports dance club. The membership fee of CZK 6,000 per semester is paid for the periods September–January (due by 30 September) and February–August (due by 31 January).

Membership includes:

• Sólo Dance lessons twice a week: Tuesday and Thursday (note: the registration form refers to the separate Tuesday Sólo Dance lesson, but membership also covers the other lessons described here)
• free access to the dance studio for individual training
• free entry to the hosted practice sessions (competition simulation) – Wednesday from 19:00
• discounts on private lessons for TK Maestro members
• organisational support for competition activity

You must register for each individual course or seminar for TK Maestro members through the information system on the tsmaestro website.

We do not teach during public holidays, official school holidays (this semester: Thursday 27 and 29 October) or when the dance school has extraordinary commitments.

Account for TK Maestro payments: 221303187/0300. Payment reference (variabilní symbol): the member’s date of birth in DDMMYYYY format; please put the member’s name and “ČP TK Maestro” in the note field (ČP = membership fees).

Consent to the processing of personal data

By registering for a course of Maestro – taneční škola s.r.o. or a group of TK Maestro, z.s. I consent to the collection, storage and processing of the personal data contained in the registration form for the purpose of providing the agreed service, informing me about the services offered and sending information messages by electronic means under Act No. 480/2004 Coll., and further for the purposes of dance-sport competitions, grants and the reports required by sports and state organisations and institutions.

Sólo Sport is a competitive group focused on performance sport in the solo disciplines. It covers TK Maestro’s competitive representation in the solo, duo and, where applicable, team categories. Age range: juniors, youth and adults. The group is also open to dancers from the Sólo Dance group of the 2025/2026 school year.

The group has its own training session on Tuesday from 18:00 and additionally shares:

• Thursday Sólo Dance (Sólo Dance & Sport) from 17:00
• for members already competing we particularly recommend the regular Basic Drill LAT seminar on Wednesday from 17:00 and the practice session (competition simulation) on Wednesday from 19:00
• for those interested in ballroom, also Basic Drill STT on Monday from 17:00 and practice STT from 19:00

Attendance at least twice a week is expected.
